Advice about sight loss and blindness for schools, colleges and universities

Whether or not you have any students with sight loss, learning about disabilities can be a great teaching tool to encourage social awareness.

We can help you build lesson plans that encourage students to understand the impact of sight loss and the tools that exist to alleviate this impact. We can come and talk to your students and get them thinking, and set follow-up activities that will enrich their learning.

If you have students with sight loss, we can help by training your students and staff in what to be aware of, and how to help guide visually impaired people.

We can also convert written materials into audio or Braille.

We welcome UK college students and International Foreign Language placements, providing a fun place to work with lots of varied experience in a very worthwhile charity.

We have a lively and enthusiastic fundraising team who are eager to work with your students to raise the money to help us continue to support local blind and partially sighted people.
