Our first ever film premiere was a great success. With incredible support throughout the night, along with the generosity of our sponsors Blue Sky Financial Planning, we raised a total of £10,306.84.

We are very grateful to our dedicated patron and director of the film, BAFTA award winning Stephen Frears. It is through his passion for our charity’s work, that we were given this opportunity, but we could not have made it into a reality without the funding from our sponsors to make the event happen.

We were lucky enough to have singersongwriters Laura Doggett and Amy Studt, TV chef Lesley Waters, actor Sam Frears, son of director Stephen Frears and the charity’s president James Weld, owner of The Lulworth Estate at the event along with several Dorset dignitaries.

London based photographer Gem Rey, our trustee Maria Grundmann, couture cakemaker Debbie Wingham and Canvas provided very special lots for our auction.

You can view the photos from the event on the Dorset Blind Association Facebook page.
