Events Navigation
After a hugely successful return in 2022 after nearly 3 years of postponement, Dorset Blind Association’s Motor Show will be taking place again this year, on Sunday 21st May, now in its 7th year!
The South’s most picturesque automotive event welcomed over 3,000 attendees in 2022 and raised over £15,000. The event is hosted by Dorset Blind Association at Lulworth Castle and is sponsored by Blue Sky Financial Planning. Owners of classic & super cars, motorbikes and all types of motor vehicles are invited to join the exclusive event and are encouraged to book soon to not miss out!
As the only Motor Show held on the Lulworth Estate, this unique event will be extremely popular with the public and car owners alike, selling out year after year. In 2022, there were over 200 cars on display, plus club stands from B.A.D Abarth and Porsche Club GB. Around 3,000 members of the general public attended throughout the day, raising awareness and vital funds to help the charity support the blind and partially sighted people across Dorset.
Gary Neild from Blue Sky Financial Planning said, “Blue Sky Financial Planning are delighted to once again support the Dorset Blind Association, this time at the motor show at Lulworth Castle on the 21st May. What an enthusiastic bunch of people. We admire the DBA team for their immense passion for how they can help others live a more fulfilling life. Whilst we operate in a different sector, this resonates greatly with us at Blue Sky, as our main emphasis is focussed on ‘what we cause and how we make people feel’. A natural partnership I would say!”
Classic, sport and supercar owners are invited to join this prestigious event on Sunday 21st May.
Kicking off with a 20-mile ‘Dorset Tour’, sponsored by Summit Land and Development. Car enthusiasts will take to the roads of Dorset at 10:30 am, touring the beautiful local countryside returning to the Lulworth estate to join the majestic Castle showground display. The showground will be open, free of charge, to the general public from 11:00 am, offering a family fun day with live entertainment, kids’ fun area, food stalls and local craft and handmade produce stalls.
Fred Potter who drives a Porsche R26 says, “We have attended the Dorset Blind Association Motor Show at Lulworth Castle for many years and is no doubt our favourite event in our calendar. Displaying our car in front of the castle is a unique opportunity and we love the atmosphere, plus it’s all for a great cause!”
Do you own a classic, sports or other motor vehicle and would like to be part of the Dorset tour and showground display? Entry is only £12 per person, including tour entry and route information, showground display, breakfast roll and hot drink at registration and exclusive entry to Lulworth Castle.
