The opening of our first charity shop in Pennys Walk, Ferndown in 2017 marked a new dimension to both the work and the fundraising of Dorset Blind Association. The second charity shop opened in 2018 at Saxon Square in Christchurch and we recently opened our third shop in Southbourne.
Our shops are designed to not only raise much-needed income to fund our services, but are themselves a part of our service delivery: including a mini equipment and advice/resource centre to help to make Dorset Blind Association even more accessible to the public.
Our shops also provide opportunities for visually impaired people to volunteer to gain useful skills and experience. Please get in touch with your local shop if you’d like to find out more about such opportunities using the contact information below.
