Official Opening of Dorset Blind Association’s Sherborne Shop

We were delighted to officially open our newest Dorset Blind Association shop in Sherborne on Friday, 20th March 2026, with the support of the local community and our special guest, Mayor Jill Warburton, who kindly cut the ribbon and gave a lovely speech.

The shop, which soft-launched in September, has now been fully branded with its new sign after receiving planning permission for the listed building. The sunny day added to the celebratory atmosphere, and it was wonderful to see so many people come along to show their support.

The Sherborne shop offers a wide range of clothing, homewares, bric-a-brac and more, with all proceeds going towards supporting people living with sight loss across Dorset.

We’d like to thank everyone who came to celebrate with us, and a special thank you to the Mayor for making the event so memorable. The Sherborne shop team looks forward to welcoming local residents and visitors alike for many years to come.
